What is Enterprise?
Enterprise is the best way to control all of your Operation's snowpack data.
It gives you control of your organizations data and users, and gives you access to all PRO features
Getting Started with Enterprise
After you purchase an Enterprise Subscription, you will receive an email with a 5 digit "purchase code" that will be used to grant your licenses. This code will give "pro" accounts to whoever enters it, and will be used to grant your organization management over the users using the code. Whoever wants to be the account admin should be the one to complete these steps. They will need to have a free account on the Snow Scope App already setup. Once you have that, you can get yourself and your team setup as follows:
Activate your Enterprise Code through the App by entering it through "upgrade to Pro" and "use Purchase Code".
Create an Organization or Add your existing organization to your purchase code (do only one of the following 2 substeps)
If you don't already have an organization, create a new organization through the "org settings" menu. Your Organization Name is what will be visible to your team (and publicily if you choose to share any data publicly). Your password is what others will need to enter to join your org if they are not on your purchase code. Check the Box that says "associate this org with your enterprise code" as this will automatically add team members to your org that use your enterprise/purchase code.
If you already have an organization you'd like to associate with your code, first make sure you are the organization administrator (if you are, you'll see the "Org Admin Menu" option in your app main menu). If that is the case, open the admin menu and check "Associate this Org with your Enterprise code"
Tell your other team members what your issued 5 digit "purchase code" is. There are a few ways they can use it to join your organization and give their accounts "pro" access.
If they do not already have an account on the Snow Scope App, they can enter the enterprise code when they create their account. When they enter the 5 digit purchase/enterprise code on the create an account page, the organization name will autofill and they will be automatically added to the organization when they tap register. (make sure to tap the check mark if you're on android).
If they already have an account on the Snow Scope App, they can enter the "purchase code" in the same way you did - through the "Upgrade to Pro"->"Use Purchase Code" workflow from the main menu. They will be automatically added to your organization.
If they already have a "pro" account on the Snow Scope App, they can join your org with the organization password from the org settings page (they don't need to use the purchase code).
Data Security and Management
As an enterprise customer, a large benefit is control of your data.
Data Creation: Only members of your organization can create observations on behalf of your organization
Data Visibility: Any observation created with a privacy of "org" will only be visible to active members of your organization. Learn more about this setting here
Data Editing: Any member of your organization can edit any other member's observations (that were created on behalf of the organization). This is to allow collaboration between team members.
Data Deletion: Only the user that created the observation may delete their observation. If a user deletes their account, they will not be able to delete all their data without administrator permission. To delete all data associated with your organization at once, you will need to contact Propagation Labs (contact@propagationlabs.com)
Previous Organization Members: If a user is removed from your organization, they will no longer be able to view, edit, or delete any data they created as part of your organization. This is to make sure all organization data is controlled by the organization perpetually.
Data Export: The organization administrator has the ability to download all of their organization's data in csv format at any time through the "export all data" button in the Org Admin Menu. You can also always export your data through the API.
User management
As the Organization Administrator, you will have access to all the details and settings of your organization. To access these, go to the "Org Admin Menu" from the main menu on the mobile or web app.
From this menu, you'll be able to do the following
Change the organization display name, administrator, or password
View your purchase code, subscription expiration date, and number of licenses available
Remove users from your organization (and free up licenses)
Export all of your organization's data to download (you can also use the API to access this data more automatically)
