Exporting Data
sharing observations off of the Snow Scope App
While the Snow Scope App is built to share snow observations with others on the app, we also have tools that allow you to export profiles for sharing outside of the app.
Exporting Individual Profiles
You can export an individual profile from either the mobile or web app as an image, a pdf, a csv, or caaml format. To do so, open up the profile you'd like to export, tap the menu button in the top right, and tap export. You'll then have different export formats you'll be able to chose from, and the profile will be downloaded in that format.
Exporting Multiple Profiles
You can export multiple profiles at once in two ways. Both are only available on the WEB APP and only available in CSV format.
You can export multiple profiles between two dates that were created by YOU by tapping export profiles in the main menu on the web app, and then selecting which dates you'd like to export between. The profiles will download in a ZIP file. This only works for CSV format.
If you are the administrator of an organization, you can export all of your organizations profile data in CSV format from the org admin menu on the web app. Learn more here.
Sharing Links to Profiles
You can share a url link to a specific profile in the snow scope app. This can be a nice alternative to sharing an image or pdf if you want your audience to be able to view the profile in the web app.
To share a link:
Click the "link" button when viewing a profile (on the web or mobile app). This will copy the link url to your clipboard, and you can then paste it wherever you want.
go to the copied link url on a web browser, and the snow scope web app will open with the specified profile. If the profile is private, it will check for permissions before showing the profile.
