Updating Probe Firmware
Keeping your probe up to date.
Firmware is the code that runs on your probe.
Firmware updates will be issued to continually improve the Scope’s functionality and performance. Please periodically check for FW updates.
Before beginning a firmware update, make sure your phone app is updated to the latest version (through the iOS app store or Google Play store).
Watch the video or follow the instructions below to update:
Wake up your Scope by pulling it out of the cover and verify it is in a Standby State with a slow pulsing green LED.
Open the Scope app on your phone and verify scope is connected
From the main menu, select “Check for Firmware Update”
If your device requires an update you will be prompted to start the update. The update should take less than 60s. All LEDs will be illuminated during an update: the connection LED indicates a solid connection to the app and the app LED should look orange indicating Update Mode.
Do not turn off the device or phone while updating. When the update succeeds, wait 10s for the device to restart. If you experience any errors during the update, please repeat the process.
